Otis was finally taken down to start anesthesia for his MRI at just before 2:00 this afternoon. The EEG tech scrubbed his head down with acetone to remove all of the EEG leads, and then we were wheeled down to meet the anesthesiologists in the basement, where we answered a bunch of questions, signed some consent forms, and gave Otis some see-you-in-a-little-bit kisses.
An hour later, we met back up with him in the recovery room. For some reason, they weren't really able to use the IV that had already been placed in his ankle, so they had to place another in his right hand--after he was already asleep, which was good to hear. After the MRI, he woke up really quickly without any problems at all, and we were finally able to get a bottle in him. So now we're just back up in our room playing the waiting game until tomorrow morning, when we'll (fingers crossed) finally get to hear the combined results of all of these crazy tests and then start the journey back home.
