Flashback!

Exactly one year ago at this time we were in the process of having our very own BRAND NEW SEWAGE LINE installed after the old clay one decided it was time to retire.

Pshh...who needs a driveway, anyway?

At the time, it was not so funny. Okay, it's still not very funny, but we got through it just fine, thanks in huge part to David and Donna (Ryan's mom and dad) who put the three of us up at their house while all of this was happening. Hindsight in these instances is nice for allowing us to see supposed catastrophes like this one for the crazy life adventures they really are. Stuff like this also helps us to notice and appreciate the joy of quieter, less crazy-making, catastrophe-free times that much more!

Also during this time, 11-month-old Otis got his blue glasses which helped him to begin to see the world close up for the first time ever. It was incredible to watch him discover the world and the people around him.

A round of Prednisolone helped to clean up enough of his erratic brain activity to allow him to start rolling from his back to his tummy, holding his head up better, smiling & laughing (on occasion), and using his left hand to bring his plug to his mouth.

home again, home again, jiggity jig

...and last, but not least, Otis got to meet and hang out with his buddy Zorgeisl (Whose Breath Reeks of Killing) for the very first time.

Double Trouble

The End!
