Otis is 1!!!*

This pic is from our big trip to Salina last weekend where we celebrated Otis's birthday a little early with mama's family**. While we were there, Otis got to meet and hang out with his awesome cousins and great aunt and uncle who were in town visiting from Texas. He also got to enjoy some super yummy Ketogenic chocolate birthday cake....which I'm sure is delicious, so just let me know if you're interested in the recipe

Unfortunately, Otis spent much of his actual birthday (yesterday, June 14) sick with congestion and a nasty cough which has been lingering all week. He spent the early part of the day at his pediatrician's office and then spent the rest of the day sleeping. We popped his cake in the freezer and are hoping for a re-do birthday celebration with the Reeds when he's feeling a bit better.

Ryan and I are so grateful for the gift of our Otis. It's been a wild year. It's so funny how time works--it's so hard to believe sometimes that an entire year has passed since the night Otis was born, while in many ways it also feels like we have passed 10 years in just the past ONE. We pray that his second year will be a year of much better health and many many MANY more smiles.
